Personal Connections and Adult World Connections:
2. What have you learned (skill, lesson, or knowledge) this year that would be the most helpful for you in the future? A skill I have grown from was our HOHAMS these were to help us become who we wanted to be and how to get there. For example how you will approach a situation.
3. What project or projects have you done this year that has inspired you to learn more? Explain how you were inspired. Filter Project in Physics, third world countries living in these situations, and how anyone can help and how no matter whom you are you can make a change. This summer I am going to Nepal to help with the earthquakes clean up.
4. How has your attitude toward learning changed this year? In many past years I felt as if the things we were learning where not as important to our futures. This year at animas one project that has changed my perspective was the socialization project, because it connected us to the outside world and everywhere you go this affects the way you look at people and the way they see you.
5. What connections have you made this year between what you have learned in your classes and your own personal experiences outside of school? Some personal connections I made were in high school swimming; it was an environment that was supportive to each other and all there for a common goal. There are relationships that I know I can have forever.
6. How have your learning and experiences at AHS this year changed the way you see the world? Humanities overall has open new doors that interest me things that you would not learn it regular classrooms.
7. What work from this year would you like to look back on and remember when you are a graduating senior? The Self Portrait project, because I want to see what I thought of myself as a freshman.
You as a Student and a Learner (Your Work and Your Work Habits:
2. How have you taken an active role in your education this year? This year I felt as though I was falling behind, so I got a tutor to help keep all of my skill fresh.
3. What piece of work that you’ve done this year are you proudest of? A piece of work I am most proud of is the snow science project, we were only required to do a poster but my partner and I made a diorama of Avalanche warnings and triggers. This was a great accomplishment because in the area we live in.
4. If you could go back and refine one piece of work this year, what piece of work would you refine and how would you refine it? I would refine my Brave New World graphic novel, it wasn't my best work I didn't try my hardest.
5. If you were the teacher, what comments would your teacher make about your work habits? I’m random sometimes I work well and sometimes I can't focus. The lack of focus can sometimes come from disinterest in what is going on.
6. What might you want next year’s teacher to know about your work habits? I am a very random but I always try to the best of my ability, because every little part we do affects us in some way.
7. What is the most difficult thing you’ve done this year? Why was it difficult, and how did you deal with that difficulty? I am a very independent worker, sometimes group work made me struggle and really work to get to the place I wanted to be.
8. How has group collaboration helped you as a student? It has helped me realize that some people you work with just get you, and that you work well together. Others is like trying to move a boulder you just can’t, but you still have to work your hardest to move it. The Shakespeare project was where I really struggled with creating the set.

2. How have any of the habits of heart and mind helped you be successful as a student or person? Perspective because it is the one that you will need to look at both sides of the story, and to take suggestions and use them to your advantage.
3. How has a relationship with a faculty member helped you to be more successful in the school year? A relationship I had was with my math teacher, I felt that I could ask a question and if I still didn't understand it I could work with her to understand the problem. My math quiz the first time I did it I didn't do that well and before the next time I did it again I worked with her to make sure I could get a perfect score.
4. How has the work in Advisory helped you grow or change as a student, as a friend, and as a citizen? In Advisory I felt that I could trust all of these people and i could have close connections with them. Every time we meet we just always have a good time, many of these people I would have never made connections to without it.
5. Project based learning is a different model than traditional models of education. Explain how project based learning has influenced your learning and your production of work. Project based learning is a way of thinking outside the box, using different skills to use in ways that interest you. It is a type of learning that you go into depth for. My snow science project was on of the most in depth one I did to truly understand what I was doing.

This year I have become a more open about what I’m doing here, this feels that this is a safe environment for me to be who I am and to really get the understanding that I need. When we do exhibitions too, and how we connect to what we are displaying because we have in a way grown up in this community, of learning somewhere you can express yourself.

- What would you say to an incoming 9th grader about how to succeed in project-based learning? Work hard on everything give it your all, you will most likely feel that you are spending an excessive amount of time on the project. Use all of your time

SMART Goals:
Overall Goal
Be less distracted while doing homework. I will do this by having time from 8:00 - 9:30 to do my homework. To make sure I stay on task I will set a timer for every 20 minutes and regroup and if I'm making good time on my homework if not figure out how i can be more efficient. I will know this is working because I will be more rested and feel better about each day this. I can make sure i succeed or failed by the end of this school year.
Humanities
For me in humanities to be able to write more fluently and persuasively to have readers understand better. I can make sure that i get at least two peer edits on each writing piece to make sure people can understand.
